And, of course, to simply relax, enjoy the energy of other artists, and dream. We particularly welcome people wishing to integrate their projects with the local environs, culture and ecology. There is trailhead at the edge of town, the start of a 3 mile hike ending with an incredible view from “The Ledges”. Several other inspiring strolls through the woods and along streams are also out the front door, as well as antiques, pottery studios, galleries, an arts alliance, local theater, concerts at Bethel Woods (home of the ’69 Woodstock Music Festival), numerous restaurants, 2 movie theaters, canoe and tubing liveries, hiking, and more, all within easy driving distance.
